MATURE WINE
Elaborated from grenache and carignane grape varieties.
This mature dry wine is elaborated from red wine, but instead of aging in new American oak butts like table red wines, it ages in 70-years-old butts (for a minimum of 4 years).
Afterwards, the wine ages with the Catalan “sol i serena” system, in 25-litre glass demijohn, under the roof, where changes in temperature rust and produce the mature wine.
Tasting note:
Greenish amber. Complex in nose, with aromas of nuts and dried fruits (hazelnut), toffee and carob perfectly combined with the superior alcohols. Powerful, silky, with an elegant ending in mouth. Nuts and dried fruits through the retronasal cavity.
